Happy Thanksgiving

Besides the turkey, and the kick off to Christmas shopping, it is important to really celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

In the retail world, Thanksgiving does not exist. After Halloween apparently comes Christmas...its what sells.

So tomorrow, be thankful for what/who you have, not what you don't have.

Wear This, Not That, Wednesday

Here's a tip...don't wear sandals with socks. It's just that simple. Why would you ever think this is acceptable to wear? Wear one or the other.

I'm not going to lie, perhaps I occasionally throw on a pair of sandals when I am home IF I need to run out to my car, but never in public, never. I mean, I'd hate to say that "looks matter"- because they totally do don't, but use your head people. If your feet are so cold when you're wearing sandals that you need to put a pair of socks on, put a pair of shoes on that aren't open toed!

You may be thinking that this isn't a big deal, that I'm being a B****, and/or that this doesn't really happen, but it does..and it happens often. While we're on the topic of socks and shoes, if you are wearing black pants and black shoes, wear BLACK socks, not white!

Weekend Medley

Let me tell you about MY weekend...well parts of it.

Those of you who read my "Ode to Regis Philbin", know how my Friday went. Sad, sad, sad. I even watched the last episode twice. TWICE, and I had the same reaction. Johnny, however surprised me with Regis Philbins new book, "How I Got This Way." I was so surprised, and happy with my gift and John-boys generosity (Thanks again Johnny : )) Can you believe that wasn't even the icing on the cake? In addition to my book, I will be going to the Regis book signing on December 3rd in Connecticut. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!? Neither can I.

That wasn't the only gift I got this weekend. I also purchased myself a little something..the JB Holiday CD. I was debating on whether or not to make that public, I have been getting a lot of heat from the purchase of my Bieber CD. While in Target, I held the CD upside down and under another item- just so I didn't get dirty looks from other shoppers. A 24 year old buying a Justin Bieber CD...not okay. BUT for the record..the CD is enjoyable. The only song I have a problem with is the remix of "Drummer Boy" with the collaboration of Busta Busta Rhymes. Totally ruined the song. Busta should stay retired. I didn't even know he was even alive.

Normally, I don't even like JB. I don't enjoy supporting anything of his, but its the holiday season for petes-sake.

In other news, my father, 2 uncles, and brother, all got deer this weekend. When I say "got"...I don't mean for companionship either. This was Tyler's first kill ever on Saturday. It was an 8 pointer. I'm not sure what the fascination is with getting up during the wee hours on Saturday and Sunday morning to kill innocent animals, but every male in my family enjoys this sport from the months of October-December.

So, back to more serious news...what will I say to Regis?!? I think I will have a loss of words. I want to say something that really makes him remember me. I know there may be a chance that I won't get to meet him, in which case I will be livid, but I am very excited and hopeful that I will be able to meet Reeg!

So what should I say?
