Sweet or Sour?

Valentines Day is coming soon, and Johnny and I have decided not to celebrate it this year. No gifts (except for a dozen of chocolate covered strawberries).

To be honest, I don't really know the true facts about Valentines Day. Sure, I know about Cupid, and the significance of saying, "I love you," and telling the ones we love and care about how much they mean to us. But, is that IT?

I am pretty sold on it being a made up holiday. I've been on both sides for a while. Yes, it is nice to receive gifts, and tokens of appreciation because you are simply loved. However, if you don't have someone significant in your life... the day can be suicidal. Just saying. The day can be pretttttty dreadful.

I guess if everyone in the entire world had someone to love, I would embrace the holiday- whole heartedly (no pun intended). The idea is nice. AND truth be told, it is a cute holiday. There are tons of crafts and sweets to make.

So the question is...

Does Valentines Day leave you feeling sweet?

Or sour?

Please disregard the purple heart, that is a bit harsh.

Dearest Phil

Happy Groundhogs Day, folks!!!

Phil has done it again, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. That means 6 more weeks of winter, or the start of winter..however you want to look at it.

Here's a fun fact, did you know that a groundhog is also known as a singing pig? You learn something new everyday. I subbed in a 5th grade classroom today, can't you tell?

While browsing Pinterest, I found a couple cute Groundhog's Day crafts (for the day I get my own classroom)!

Here's a Thought...

I don't know what it is lately, but my blog life has been quite dull. Luckily for for me, unfortunately for you- I haven't experienced any embarrassing moments, no body has screamed obscene words to me across random parking lots, and I haven't been living it up..so to speak. And... I am quite aware that I probably just jinxed myself and will have a plethora of unfavorable events happen to me today.

Any who, I have discovered 2 new interests. The first being TCBY. Apparently TCBY has been around for a while, but to me I thought the sign read "Toby" (I have horrible vision) and had no clue that it was really TCBY- an acronym for 'The Country's Best Yogurt."

If you haven't been to a TCBY- I suggest you get yourself there. It's the healthier alternative to ice cream. The entire wall is full of ice cream levers and flavors and different toppings (anything that you can imagine, even things that I wouldn't think about topping my frozen yogurt with) that you can help yourself to.

My second interest is more of a thought. Because I am sooooo disappointed with this years winter weather, and that stupid Mother Nature. I feel like I should put my frustration into something positive. Perhaps writing??? I think it would make a great children's book, "The Winter it Never Snowed". Not a shabby title, or idea.

Yay?Nay?

Bring it Beotch

I have to say, Mother Nature is really slacking.

It's practically February and there hasn't been a storm yet this season.

Either she's slacking or she's preparing for one heck of a storm.

She is one crazy b*^%*, you never know what she has up her sleeve.

One this is for sure...if Spring is around the corner, then perhaps my money tree will sprout faster!!!!
